Atlantic City Electric Restores All Customers Impacted by Winter Storm Quinn

MAYS LANDING, N.J. (March 10, 2018) – Atlantic City Electric has restored power to all customers who lost electric service in the wake of Winter Storm Quinn. Of the more than 42,000 power outages that occurred, most customers were restored in less than 24 hours. The remaining customers in the most heavily damaged areas were restored by Friday night.

"We can't thank our customers enough for their patience and understanding as our crews worked diligently until every customer was restored," said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric region president. "A special thanks to the state and local elected officials, emergency responders, and other stakeholders who provided important support throughout the event."

The Burlington and Camden county sections of Atlantic City Electric's service territory experienced the most extensive damage from the storm due to the heavy, wet snow and gusty winds that toppled trees, downed power lines and damaged electric equipment. Hundreds of Atlantic City Electric line personnel, contractor crews, and crews with Atlantic City Electric's sister utilities Delmarva Power and Pepco, worked around the clock until the last customer was restored.
