Technology Provides Real Time Data for Customers
MAYS LANDING, NJ - Atlantic City Electric has made upgrades to its self-service mobile app to help improve communication with customers during weather events and to offer customers the convenience of accessing important data from their mobile device.
Through Atlantic City Electric's mobile app, customers can report power outages and receive status updates; use interactive outage maps to check the status of an outage in their area; receive an estimated time of restoration if there is an outage; and contact Atlantic City Electric through a direct dial link.
Upgrades to the mobile app include an improved interface; news and updates; and allows customers to conveniently access their account and pay their utility bill using their mobile device. Other new features include a new county and municipal map view; automated outage data for each municipality including customers served, customers affected, and percentage of customers affected; a new county and municipal summary table; and time stamp that indicates when the outage map data was last updated.
"The mobile app is a convenient tool we offer our customers to keep them informed and updated during a weather event. It's also a convenient option for customers to pay their utility bill, access our website to find news releases and updates, and provides pertinent information to keep our customers informed of any outages in their area," said Vince Maione, Region President, Atlantic City Electric.
