Atlantic City Electric Kicks Off Annual 'Gift of Energy' Program

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Some Atlantic City Electric customers may have difficulty paying their monthly energy bills this holiday season because of the sluggish economy. To help those less-fortunate customers, Atlantic City Electric offers a Gift of Energy program.

Gift of energy payments can be made in person, by cash, check or credit card, at one of the company's five courtesy centers located throughout southern New Jersey. Additionally, the company offers a mail-in payment option on fliers it is distributing to social service agencies and community-based shelters located throughout its service territory. The program launches today and runs through January 15, 2011.

The way it works is simple, just:

  • Visit an Atlantic City Electric Courtesy Center today;
  • Provide the service teller with the name and address of the person you're buying the gift of energy for;
  • Make a payment on that special someone's account; and
  • Receive a free holiday greeting card to give to that special someone, compliments of Atlantic City Electric.
