MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric continues to restore
service to customers who lost power when a severe storm moved through Tuesday
night. Of the approximately 280,000 customers who lost power, more than 100,000
customers now have power back on. Hundreds of Atlantic City Electric employees and
outside crews continue working around the clock on the restoration effort.

Regional VP said "Atlantic City Electric expects to restore
service to all of its customers by midnight Sunday. However, we expect that the
vast majority of customers will get their lights back on before midday

more accurately estimate restoration times.

reports are vital to Atlantic
City Electric's restoration efforts because, combined with
other customer calls and Atlantic
City Electric's technology, these help the company identify
the precise location of outages more quickly. Atlantic City Electric also recommends that when
reporting an outage, customers request a call back. The call-back process helps
the company during the area-based restoration process to locate outages that
may be specific to customers' homes, such as an issue with the service wire to
an individual's house.

life-threatening situation such as downed wires, customers also should call
1-800-833-7476 and follow the prompts.
