MAYS LANDING, N.J. - As part of ongoing reliability enhancements, Atlantic City Electric has completed the rebuild of its Marven Substation located on Fredricksburg Avenue, which borders Margate and Ventnor, N.J.
The substation reconstruction will improve service reliability for residents of Longport, Margate, Ventnor and the Chelsea Heights section of Atlantic City.
"Atlantic City Electric is committed to providing our communities with safe and reliable service," said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric region president. "The substation enhancements will further improve service reliability for our customers and make it more resilient against damage associated with extreme weather."
The substation upgrades include an additional transformer, feeders and other equipment enhancements to further improve reliability, support the increased electric load during the summer months and account for future demand for electricity in these shore communities.
