Residents should expect intermittent outages during construction
MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric will conduct repairs to underground infrastructure in the Beach Haven West section of Stafford Township beginning Tuesday, May 7. The work will initially take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and may possibly extend into weekends at a later date. The construction will take approximately two months to complete. Residents should expect intermittent outages of up to four hours during the construction process.
Due to extensive flooding as a result of Hurricane Sandy, Atlantic City Electric will replace approximately 200 pad mount transformers located along numerous roads and properties in Beach Haven West. Replacing the transformers is necessary to ensure reliability of the company's distribution system, especially before the summer electric load increases due to the influx of residents that vacation or have summer homes in the area.
Streets affected in the Beach Haven West construction include Aaron; Alan; Amy; Anita; Arthur; Benjamin; Bernard; Bruce; Catherine; Clara; Clyde; Diane; Eileen; Eliza; Evelyn; George; Henry; Hope; Jarmy; Jennings; Jeremy; Matilda; Merle; Mill Creek; Newell; Pattie Joe; Peggy; Peter; Southard; Tahoe; Timberlake; Thomas; and William Cook.
