Atlantic City Electric Names 2012 Golf Event Beneficiaries

Southern New Jersey Community Based Organizations to Receive Supporting Funds

LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric has selected the beneficiaries for its Seventh Annual Charity Golf Classic scheduled for August 27, 2012.  The net proceeds from this year's Golf Classic will be shared among, Special Olympics New Jersey, the Arc of Atlantic County and Gateway Community Action Partnership.  Since its inception in 2006, the Pepco Holdings, Inc. Community Foundation's Atlantic City Electric Charity Golf Classic has raised over seven hundred thousand dollars for nonprofits in South Jersey.

"We are pleased to give back to the communities in which we live and work," said Vince Maione, regional president, Atlantic City Electric.  "The work these organizations do is so important to the vitality of the community," added Charlie Wimberg, Atlantic City Electric region vice president. "During these tough economic times, the donations will certainly help each organization to continue to provide essential services."

This year's title sponsor, once again, is Cooper Levenson.  The presenting sponsor is Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhodes, LLP, and the returning platinum sponsors are Kline Construction and IBEW Local Union 351.

The 2012 Atlantic City Electric Charity Golf Classic event will be held Monday, August 27 at the Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway Township, New Jersey.  Galloway National is a private, 18-hole championship golf course rated in the top 100 by Golf Digest
