Crews Plan to Work Throughout Day to Restore ServiceMAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric continues to repair the widespread damage to its electrical system caused by severe thunderstorms that struck the region on Friday. Assessment teams have surveyed the damage to help guide the restoration work. Additional crews, including tree trimming and support personnel, are working as quickly and as safely as possible to restore power to affected customers."At the height of the storm, about 16,000 customers lost power. As of 11 a.m. today, we restored service to approximately 14,500 customers. We plan to have power restored to the remainder of our customers by late this evening," said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric Region President. "However, there could be some localized outages that might not be repaired until early Sunday afternoon."Customers are urged to report outages by calling 1-800-833-7476.
