Progress Made, Work Continues Until Completed
MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric announced this afternoon that progress has been made in restoring power to customers who lost electricity in the wake of Friday's severe thunderstorms. At the peak of the storms, about 16,000 customers lost power. As of 3:30 this afternoon, about 1,900 customers are still without power.
"Our crews continue to make headway in restoring power and we will continue to use all employees and support personnel as needed until all of our customers have electric service," said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric Region President. "Our goal is to have the majority of customers back in service by late tonight, however there could be some small pockets of outages that might not be cleared up until sometime Sunday afternoon."
Customers are urged to report outages by calling 1-800-833-7476. Customers can also receive outage updates by visiting www.atlanticcityelectric.com, following us on Facebook and Twitter at ACElecConnect and downloading our mobile app at www.atlanticcityelectric.com/mobileapp.
