Michael Garrity Appointed to Board of Trustees
MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric Lead Environmental Scientist Michael Garrity recently was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Conserve Wildlife Foundation (CWF) of New Jersey.
"Atlantic City Electric has supported Conserve Wildlife Foundation since our inception," said Margaret O'Gorman, Executive Director. "Adding Mike as a trustee strengthens this support and adds greatly to our knowledge base. We look forward to working with him."
As Lead Environmental Scientist, Garrity is responsible for obtaining environmental licensing for company transmission, distribution and substation infrastructure projects, coordinating environmental permits for vegetation management of right of ways and representing the company on several New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection stakeholder committees.
"We are proud to have Mike represent our company and work with such a dedicated organization," said Atlantic City Electric Region Vice President Charles Wimberg. "We know with his help, the foundation will continue its research on wildlife species, populations and natural communities, ultimately making New Jersey a better place for endangered and rare species."
Garrity received a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and currently is pursuing a master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Garrity and his wife Fran live in Waterford Township, N.J., with their twin sons, Ryan and Colin.
