Atlantic City Electric Supports Special Olympics New Jersey

Utility Employees Help Raise Over $50,000 for Special Olympics Athletes

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric recently co-sponsored the 2nd annual Beach Bump 38, a beach volleyball tournament hosted by Special Olympics New Jersey. The event, held at Bally's Atlantic City, raised more than $50,000.

Atlantic City Electric employees joined over 20 recreational and competitive beach volleyball teams who took to the sands to raise funds to benefit the 22,000 Special Olympics athletes who train and compete year round.

Atlantic City Region Vice President and Special Olympics board member Charlie Wimberg said, "I am proud of all the men, women and children who came out today to support such a great cause. It's not about winning. It's about supporting the efforts of this great organization that works to create a better world through the power of sports."
