Customer Perspective Helps to Credit Easier-to-Read Format
MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric customers have begun receiving a newly redesigned monthly bill that is easier to read, more environmentally-friendly and has more detailed energy-use information.
The redesign was a multi-year effort, which included extensive customer input, said Charlie Wimberg, Atlantic City Electric Vice President. "We're excited to offer our customers a new bill that is easier to understand and gives customers more information to help them manage their energy use," Wimberg said. "This redesigned bill is part of our commitment to improve customer service."
Some of the highlights of the new bill include:
• Expanding the energy-use bar graph from 13 months to 24 months;
• Switching to two-sided printing to save paper and trees;
• Moving the payment coupon from the top of the page to the bottom; and
• Adding language that better defines supply charges (the cost of producing electricity) and delivery charges (the cost of bringing electricity to the customer).
