Atlantic City Electric Employees Support Local Food Bank

Charitable Organization Receives Food and Funds for Southern N.J. Families

MAYS LANDING, N.J. -Atlantic City Electric employees recently presented more than 1000 pounds of food and a check to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Southern Branch. The presentation was made at the Food Bank's warehouse in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

The company's Volunteer Initiative Program (VIP) organized the employee food drive at the utility's Glassboro, Winslow, Mays Landing and Pleasantville offices. "Our volunteers are committed to caring for our communities by giving time and talent to organizations like the Food Bank. In spite of the challenging economy, we are proud that our employees have chosen to support the Food Bank, and we know that this donation will go to many deserving families. " said Atlantic City Electric Region Vice President Charlie Wimberg.

Margie Barham, Executive Director of Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Southern Branch said, "We greatly appreciate the support of Atlantic City Electric and its caring employees. Their generosity continues to have a direct result on improving the quality of life for our residents who are struggling to feed their families."
