Atlantic City Electric Offers Resources to Help Customers

Utility Appoints Manager to Provide Support to Low Income and At-Risk Residents

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric is offering resources to help low-income and at-risk residents pay their electric utility bill.

"We recognize that because of economically challenging times, there are many customers who are struggling to pay their bills, so we want to offer resources to help," said Atlantic City Electric Region Vice President Robert Revelle. "We are working to help as many customers as possible in the coming months."

Leading this initiative throughout the utility's eight counties is Customer and Community Relations Manager Alita Corbett, who has been with the company for more than 15 years. During the past three months, she has traveled to more than 20 locations throughout Atlantic City Electric's service territory. During these visits, she met with customers to help them in applying for budget billing, payment arrangements, support services and energy assistance in cooperation with other utilities, government and social service agencies.

Alita currently serves on the board of directors for the National Low Income Energy consortium as well as NJ Shares. She works in the company's Mays Landing, New Jersey, office and lives in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
