Pepco Holdings Donates $50,000 to Haitian Relief

Company Asks Employees to Help Also

WASHINGTON - In the spirit of stewardship and compassion, Pepco Holdings, Inc. (NYSE-POM) is joining concerned organizations, nations and individuals around the world in supporting the Haitian relief effort. PHI is making a $50,000 corporate donation, to be channeled through the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area.

"As part of our corporate citizenship responsibilities, PHI will extend assistance to aid the immense effort under way to bring relief to the Haitian people," said Joseph M. Rigby, PHI Chairman, President and CEO.

PHI's leadership is calling on employees to contribute as well. "The employees of Pepco Holdings, Inc. have a long tradition of coming to the aid of those in need," said Rigby, who encourages employees "to contribute through one of the many reputable organizations participating in this effort."
