Atlantic City Electric Supports Utility Energy Assistance Resource Expo

Company Partners to Help Public at Free Exposition

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric is partnering with the United Way of Atlantic County, South Jersey Gas, Atlantic Human Resources, Inc. and other social service agencies to present a Utility Energy Assistance Resource Expo on Wednesday, October 21, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The expo will be held in Room 411 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, located at One Convention Boulevard in Atlantic City, N.J. It is free to the public.

The goal of the expo is to let Atlantic County residents know that help is available if they should fall behind on paying their utility bills or if they need any other type of social service help. Representatives from local utilities and social service agencies will be on site to help individuals apply for various assistance programs and answer energy related questions and concerns.

Individuals seeking assistance will need to provide the following to process the application:

  • Social security cards for all household members
  • Proof of income
  • Lease, property tax bill or mortgage statement
  • Recent income statements
  • SSI, SSD, TANF, and GA award letters
  • Affidavit of non-income if not working (applies to 18 or over)
  • Current energy bills
