Atlantic City Electric Offers 'Green' Bill

Electronic option ends monthly paper statement

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Beginning this month, Atlantic City Electric will offer an electronic bill and payment option - called "Green Bill" - to its more than 547,000 customers in southern New Jersey.

With Green Bill, customers will be able to sign up through the My Account page located on the Web site at www.atlanticcityelectric.com. Through this initiative, customers can elect to stop receiving paper bills. Green Bill customers will automatically receive a monthly e-mail stating that their bill is ready to be viewed and paid online. It also will show the amount due and the due date. Another feature of Green Bill allows customers to configure their accounts to make an automated recurring payment.

Signing up for the option will be strictly voluntary. For customers to participate, they must check a box to stop their regular paper bill from being mailed. Other service-related notices will continue with a paper mailing to the customer.

"We are pleased to offer this paperless, environmentally-friendly option to all of our customers,'' said Vince Maione, President, Atlantic City Electric Region. "This process also encourages customers to visit our Web site where they can learn more about other innovations for conserving energy and managing their bills."
