Atlantic City Electric Employees Raise Funds for Youth

Model Race Car Sale Benefits Regional Big Brothers Big Sisters Organizations

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric today presented to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties, a check for $1,700, raised by employees through the sale of company branded model race cars.

"Our employees can always be counted on to give back and support our community," said Atlantic City Region President Vince Maione. "They are pleased that the funds raised will benefit our local children."

"We appreciate partners like Atlantic City Electric who are helping change the way children grow up in America," said Big Brothers Big Sisters Chief Executive Officer Robert Jakubowski.

Pepco Holdings Inc.'s (PHI) three utilities, Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power and Pepco, recently held a model race car sale. Employees from each company rallied to support the event by purchasing race cars, raising more than $5000 to benefit local charities within PHI's service territory.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States . They have been the leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country.
