Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) announced today the promotion of Kenneth J. Parker to Vice President, Public Policy for PHI, and will be succeeded by Vincent Maione as Region President, Atlantic City Electric. Both promotions are effective June 1.
Parker joined Atlantic City Electric in 1986 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Government Affairs for New Jersey; Vice President, Atlantic Region; and most recently, Region President, Atlantic City Electric. As PHI Vice President, Public Policy for the utility holding company, he will be responsible for developing PHI's position on issues and reconciling federal and state issues throughout PHI's service area comprising southern New Jersey, the Delmarva Peninsula and the Washington metropolitan area. He will be reporting at the corporate headquarters in Washington.
Parker is a graduate of Delaware State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. He is also a 1999 graduate of Leadership New Jersey.

"Ken brings the breadth of skills and public policy experience necessary to develop and sustain mutually beneficial relationships with community, legislative and regulatory leaders."
Vincent Maione will assume the role of Region President, Atlantic City Electric, where he will represent the company among customer, community and governmental stakeholders. Maione joined Atlantic City Electric in 1984, serving in a number of positions with increasing responsibility including Distribution Engineering Supervisor, Regional Resource Manager, and most recently as Project Manager for PHI's Mid-Atlantic Power Pathway project (MAPP), a 500-kilovolt, high-voltage transmission line to be constructed across the mid-Atlantic region.
Born in Italy, Maione has lived most of his life in Hammonton, N.J., where he was twice-elected to the town council. He graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and holds licenses as a Professional Engineer in New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
