MAYS LANDING, N.J. - October is Energy Awareness Month - a great reason for consumers to learn more about their individual energy usage and commit to reducing it - both to benefit the planet and their pocketbooks.
To help customers learn how to save energy and money, Atlantic City Electric offers a free, interactive tool on its Web site, www.atlanticcityelectric.com, called "My Account." The Web-based service enables customers to create their own personal energy profile based on the size of their home, the number of people living in it, the age of their appliances and other necessary information - all of which is used to determine ways they can reduce their energy costs.
Atlantic City Electric launched "My Account" more than two years ago; since then, thousands of customers have logged on to learn how to save energy at home.
Here's what is needed to register to use "My Account":
While the use of "My Account" is limited to Atlantic City Electric customers, the company also offers a variety of ideas for saving energy and money on its Web site, www.atlanticcityelectric.com, in the "Our Energy Future" section.
