Atlantic City Electric to Perform Vegetation Maintenance

Atlantic County Bike Path to Close Temporarily for Public Safety

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric will perform scheduled vegetation maintenance on an electric transmission right-of-way near Mays Landing, New Jersey starting on Monday, Sept. 22.

The work will include a portion of the Atlantic County bike path which will not be accessible to the public when tree crews are working. To assure public safety, the bike path will be closed for approximately 12 days. Intermittent closures will occur from English Creek Avenue to Harding Highway.

Crews will selectively clear vegetation to help maintain electric service reliability. The entire project is scheduled to last for three weeks, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Atlantic City Electric's vegetation maintenance program is a recurring activity required by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities to ensure electric reliability and public safety.
