Atlantic City Electric Mails Electric Safety Information

Mays Landing, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric's Emergency Service Partnership Program recently completed mailing letters with a safety brochure, entitled "Electrical Safety for First Responders," to more than 325 fire departments throughout its power delivery service territory.

"From an operational perspective, our emergency services responders play a key role in partnering with us to keep the public safe," said Charlie Wimberg, Vice President, Atlantic City Electric. "On any given day, underground lines may be struck and/or wires could be down for a variety of reasons. That is why sharing key safety information, which is contained in this brochure, helps us and helps them."

The brochure offers safety tips and suggested actions emergency services personnel should take when utilities are involved.

"Atlantic City Electric's Emergency Services Partnership Program helps provide a way to deliver an important message to first responders," Wimberg said. "This material promotes safety and reinforces the message to contact Atlantic City Electric as soon as possible when our facilities are part of your emergency, so we can dispatch the resources you need to make the situation safe."

Another mailing coming soon will be directed to local police departments. For more information on the Emergency Services Partnership Program, contact Atlantic City Electric by calling Jim Cinelli at 856-753-2850 or Ronnie Town at 609-463-3805.
