Fall Charity Golf Classic Raises Over $110K For Charities

Southern New Jersey Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity Causes to Benefit


Since its inception in 2006, the Fall Charity Golf Classic event has raised more than $225,000 for local charities. Each year, different charities serving southern New Jersey are selected to receive the funds raised.

"Because of this successful charity event more people in our community will have food on their table and shelter over their heads," said Kenneth Parker, president, Atlantic City Electric Region. "Through the generous support and goodwill of our sponsors, this event is able to sustain much-needed services in our communities."

Major supporters for this year's event included: Cooper Levenson Attorneys At Law; IBEW Local Union 351, Kline Construction Co. and Youngblood, Corcoran, Lafferty & Hyberg P.A.

Other significant sponsors included: Atlantic County Utilities Authority, Arthur R. Henry, Inc. Mays Landing, N.J . - Atlantic City Electric's Fall Charity Golf Classic raised more than $110,000 for regional charities that have made a contribution to improving the quality of life in southern New Jersey. Proceeds from this year's event will be donated to community organizations throughout southern New Jersey. This year's primary beneficiaries include: Habitat for Humanity Atlantic and Cumberland County and Community Food Bank of New Jersey - Southern Branch.
