2007 Coastal Cleanup Takes Place on

Saturday, September 15

Volunteers needed to remove trash from beaches and riverbanks

The first portion of the annual Coastal Cleanup is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, September 15 at many locations throughout Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey.

You're invited to participate and/or cover the event as a news story. Approximately 2,500 volunteers are expected to help remove trash from area beaches and riverbanks.

Each participant will receive an original 2007 Coastal Cleanup T-shirt, courtesy of Delmarva Power, which has been the primary corporate sponsor of the event for 17 consecutive years.
