Mays Landing, N.J. - Atlantic City Electric's Fall Charity Golf Classic raised $125,000 for regional charities that have made a contribution to improving the quality of life in southern New Jersey. This year, the event's net proceeds are being shared among Special Olympics New Jersey, Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey and the Disabilities Resource Center.
The inaugural year for this event, Atlantic City Electric hopes to raise a similar amount each year for southern New Jersey agencies. "The southern New Jersey business community stepped forward to help us launch this worthwhile initiative to benefit our region's communities," Atlantic City Electric Region President Kenneth Parker said. "Looking forward, Atlantic City Electric plans to grow this event to be one of southern New Jersey's key fundraisers for organizations that care for our communities."
