MAYS LANDING, N.J. – Atlantic City Electric presented a $44,000 donation to The Arc of Atlantic County during an open house and retirement celebration of long-time Arc CEO Deborah Davies.

Through its seventh annual Charity Golf Classic, Atlantic City Electric donated $132,000 in 2012 to non-profit organizations including The Arc; Gateway Community Action Partnership; and Special Olympics New Jersey.

“We are proud to support The Arc in its effort to provide essential resources to those it serves,” said Charlie Wimberg, Regional Vice President, Atlantic City Electric. “We are pleased to assist The Arc, Gateway and Special Olympics in their mission to help those who greatly benefit from the services these organizations provide.”

“Atlantic City Electric’s gift of $44,000 makes it possible for The Arc to expand housing opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Atlantic County,” said Deborah Davies, PhD, CEO, The Arc of Atlantic County. “Affordable, accessible housing is one of the greatest needs of the population we serve, and we love having Atlantic City Electric as a major partner in this project.”
