MAYS LANDING, N.J. — Ryan Tookes, 35, of Clayton, N.J., Senior
Strategic Planning manager, Atlantic City Electric, has been named as one of
this year’s 20 under 40 honorees by South Jersey Biz. The publication annually recognizes
young professionals in southern New Jersey.
“This is a well-deserved recognition for Ryan.
His contributions to Atlantic City Electric are immeasurable and we are
fortunate to have the services of such a talented individual within our
company,” said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric region president.
Strategic Planning manager and Assistant Corporate secretary, Tookes’
responsibilities include the development
and management of strategic plans, managing a department budget, key issues,
special projects and providing counsel to the region president on a variety of
issues affecting the company. He also serves a key role as a member of the
company’s leadership team.
Prior to joining Atlantic City
Electric in 2012, Tookes served as director of Government and Public Affairs
for the New Jersey Utilities Association (NJUA), where he gained a deep
understanding of the utility industry.
Tookes is a graduate of Wesleyan
University in Middletown, Connecticut. He earned both a Master’s and Juris
Doctor degree from Rutgers University-Camden in Camden, N.J. Tookes studied in
Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia as part of his Master’s thesis.
