MAYS LANDING, N.J. – Atlantic City Electric recently hosted more than 100 social service agency representatives from southern New Jersey, at a daylong, interactive Energy Assistance Summit at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The summit gave service providers valuable information to better assist low-income utility customers, many of whom have difficulty paying their energy bills.
“The summit provided an avenue through which Atlantic City Electric will continue to strengthen its partnerships with the social service agencies that help our customers on a regular basis,” said Charlie Wimberg, Atlantic City Electric Vice President. “These enhanced partnerships will help to improve our service to our customers.”
While there are programs that help customers learn to use energy wisely and obtain financial assistance to pay energy bills, the goal of the summit was to make sure this information reaches those who need it.
