MAYS LANDING, N.J. – October is Energy Awareness Month, a good time for consumers to learn more about how to reduce their individual energy usage to save money and protect the environment..
To help customers learn how to use energy wisely, Atlantic City Electric offers a free, interactive tool on its Web site, www.atlanticcityelectric.com, called “My Account.” The Web-based feature enables customers to create their own personal energy profile after completing a few questions concerning the size of their home, the number of people living in it, the age of their appliances and other energy related information – all of which is used to help customers determine ways they can reduce their energy use and costs.
Atlantic City Electric launched “My Account” more than three years ago and since then, thousands of customers have logged on to learn how to save energy at home and compare their usage to similar homes in the area.
Here is how to use “My Account:”
· Locate your account number on an Atlantic City Electric bill;
· Go to www.atlanticcityelectric.com;
· Click “My Account”; and
· Register to use the tool to start saving energy and money.
While the use of “My Account” is limited to Atlantic City Electric customers, the company also offers a variety of tips for saving energy and money on its Web site in the “Our Energy Future” section.
