• Model Truck Sale Benefits Regional Lupus Organizations

    Mays Landing, N.J. – Atlantic City Electric today presented a check for $6,900 to the New Jersey Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc.

    Pepco Holdings Inc. three utilities, Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power and Pepco, recently held a model truck sale offering current model line trucks and vintage trucks from the three utilities. Employees from across all PHI companies rallied to support the event by purchasing 2,500 trucks. The sale raised almost $21,000 to be divided among the New Jersey and Delaware Chapters of the Lupus Foundation of America and the Mid-Atlantic Lupus Foundation.

    “Our employees can always be counted on when it involves giving to the community,” said Atlantic City Region President Kenneth Parker. “Our employees are pleased that the funds raised will benefit our local communities.”

    The New Jersey Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., a non-profit organization, is dedicated to enriching and improving the quality of life for people in New Jersey with Lupus.
