Outages and Emergency Preparedness
Be Prepared and Stay Safe when Strong Weather Strikes
Violent storms are more frequent in a changing world, and it is essential to be prepared. For all of us at Atlantic City Electric, that means planning thoroughly before weather threatens, responding quickly when a storm hits, and restoring power as safely and quickly as possible in the event of an outage.
When the weather is nice it's easy not to give a second thought to preparing for storms. But thinking ahead can give you peace of mind when weather turns threatening.
We know that you want information if the power goes out, and we are committed to keeping you informed as we work to restore your electrical service. There are several ways you can get information during a storm.
- Call 1-800-833-7476 to report outages and downed wires. Please request a call back so we can verify if individual or small groups of outages still exist.
- Use our website to report outages. By entering your account information, you can also get updates, use dynamic outage maps to zoom in and see where outages have occurred, get important contact information, and see estimates for when power will be restored.
- Use the Atlantic City Electric Self-Service app on your mobile device. You can access outage maps, get restoration estimates, report outages and call us through a direct dial link. Download the free mobile app by visiting atlanticcityelectric.com/mobileapp on your mobile device.
