Atlantic City Electric filed a base rate adjustment with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) on March 14, 2014. We are asking the BPU to approve a rate increase of about $61.7 million to help pay for infrastructure improvements and reliability investments already made on behalf of our customers. Because of these investments, ACE's customers have seen significant improvements in the duration and frequency of power outages.
For information on rates, please visit the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and the New Jersey Division of Rate Counsel.
Copies of the following regulatory filings made in connection with the transaction may be viewed on the Regulatory Filings section of Pepco Holdings' website:
On July 3, 2014, ACE filed a Petition at the BPU requesting approval to recover changes in retail transmission (formula) rates that have already been approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ("FERC"). Specifically, ACE has requested approval to fully implement FERC-approved transmission rates and Transmission Enhancement Charges and the consequent changes in Basic Generation Service ("BGS")-Fixed Price (residential) and BGS-Commercial and Industrial Energy price changes to its customers effective as of Monday, September 1, 2014. The Petition further requests that the effected BGS suppliers receive the appropriate compensation for any rate adjustments subject to the provisions of their respective Supplier Master Agreements.
